MALIBU, Calif. The Pepperdine University Department of Athletics announced today that nine of its all-time greats will make up its newest class of Hall of Fame inductees. The ceremony will be held Sunday, Nov. 2, at 5:30 p.m. at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills, Calif.

The nine that will be enshrined are: Dain Blanton (Men’s Volleyball), James Brinton (Baseball), John Furlong (Men’s Basketball), Jason Gore (Men’s Golf), Ginger Helgeson-Nielsen (Women’s Tennis), George Roumain (Men’s Volleyball), Nicole (Sanderson) Hannan (Women’s Volleyball), Jeff Stork (Men’s Volleyball) and Robbie Weiss (Men’s Tennis).

“Our Athletics Hall of Fame is a showcase for Pepperdine’s rich history in intercollegiate athletics,” Pepperdine Director of Athletics John Watson said. “These nine inductees have earned their well-deserved place in our Hall of Fame, not only with what they accomplished here in Malibu, but in their professional lives as well, whether in athletics or in other fields. We are looking forward to bringing them back and honoring their achievements.”

The Pepperdine Athletics Hall of Fame was established in 1980. These nine individuals will join 68 individuals and 12 teams that have already been enshrined.

To be eligible for induction, nominees must have competed, coached for or rendered an extraordinary service to Pepperdine University Athletics. After nominees were accepted, Pepperdine’s Hall of Fame Committee made the decision on this year’s inductees.

Pepperdine friends and family are invited to attend the Hall of Fame Ceremony. The cost is $50 per plate and a reservation must be made by October 20 by contacting Heather Collart at (310) 506-6483 or heather.collart@pepperdine.edu.
