MALIBU, Calif. - For the past several years, NCAA women's volleyball programs across the country have done their part in the battle against breast cancer. Pepperdine continues its involvement with its "Dig Pink" match this Thursday (Oct. 22) against San Francisco in Firestone Fieldhouse at 7 p.m.
Donations will be accepted at the match, which will benefit the Side-Out Foundation. Or, donations can be made on-line by clicking here and visiting the Dig Pink website.
Fans that attend Thursday's match are requested to wear pink. The first 100 students to arrive will receive a free T-shirt. The Waves will be wearing special pink T-shirts during their warmups.
Anyone that makes a donation at Thursday's match will receive a pink Waves rally towel. A special mini-pink volleyball will be given to those that make at least a $10 donation. The four fans that donate the most will receive mini-pink volleyballs that have been signed by Pepperdine's team.
Pepperdine has climbed back up into a tie for first place in the West Coast Conference with a 4-1 record, and has an 11-7 overall record. San Francisco is 9-9, 3-2 and tied for fourth place.
