Pepperdine first-baseman Brad Anderson was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week after helping to lead the Waves to a 4-0 record last week. Anderson led the charge offensively as Pepperdine got wins over UNC Wilmington, No. 13 UCLA, USC and Houston.

The Pepperdine women's swimming and diving team once again earned College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Team Scholar All-America status for its impressive fall grade point average. With a team GPA of 3.22, the Waves were one of nearly 150 NCAA Division programs recognized.

The #1-ranked Pepperdine sand volleyball team made quite the statement on opening day, shutting out both Cal State Northridge and USC. The Waves first swept the Matadors, newcomers to sand volleyball in 2014, before topping the #2-ranked Trojans 5-0.

The #4 Pepperdine men's volleyball team ended the week on a high note, earning a 25-19, 25-18, 25-21 sweep over Pacific on Saturday evening. Not only did Matt Tarantino set a new career-high in hitting percentage, but Josh Taylor had a career night as well with five service aces.
